Nowadays technology has brought convenience in our life. From cars to mobile phones to Wi-Fi routers, all and all help us to save more time and energy and to live better. But there would be some vulnerability behind the benefits of them; actually we can say these items make more convenience not only for us, but for hackers, too.
What can hackers hack ? have you ever thought about it? You probably don’t know about it; we will talk around this issue here.
Heart

Believe or not, hackers can even hack your heart and remotely stop your heartbeats! So amazing but really true. Hackers can hack into the wireless signals of health devices like pacemakers, implanted insulin pumps, and implanted defibrillators. They can remotely shut off the implanted defibrillator, which shocks your heart back into activity, and wait for you to die. When hackers get access to insulin pumps which are implanted in body, they can change the levels being injected into the body. All of the things we mentioned here about hacking such devices would have fatal consequences for a person.
Traffic lights

Yes, it is amazingly simple for hackers to change red light into green with the push of a button! A hacker only needs a laptop and wireless card operating on the same frequency as the wireless networked traffic lights, then he/she could access the entire unencrypted network. Now the hacker is able to destroy traffic laws.
prison-cell doors

Sounds unlikely? Yes, because when you think “prison” you expect “security”. Indeed gaining external access to prisons’ industrial control systems and doing things like open the doors is easy for hackers. The main vulnerability is that while most prison security systems aren’t supposed to be connected to the Internet, many of them actually are.
Garage-door openers

Most of our security systems are making us feel safe than actually being safe. When the objects in our home become smarter and internet-connected, the opportunities increase for hackers. As garage door openers are electronic and digital systems they are vulnerable to some attacks like allowing a thief to come to your home. Make sure that you’ve updated its default password and change it on occasion.
Smart TVs

Hackers can own your TV apps and can use your TV as a gateway to connect to other devices in your home. Your hacked smart TV would have many problems on many cases. Hackers can switch channels, order movies you don’t want, or change the volume level. If you have many network-connected devices in your home and you didn’t take care of only one of them, the whole network is compromised. So change your passwords every three to six months to protect yourself.
X-ray devices

Hackers can see you naked! Full body scanners at airport that check if you’re hiding a weapon can be hacked. The images from these devices are supposed to be deleted immediately after security views them, but actually that’s not always the case. If you’re planning to travel by air in the future, be more selective about your underwear choices, because you never know who could be judging your naked body.
Digital cameras

When your camera starts taking photo while you’re changing clothes, you will understand the why. As there are Wi-Fi chips in digital cameras, hackers can access your photos and videos, disable your device, or take videos/photos remotely. So we suggest you to regularly check for software updates and install them.
ATMs

By using only a laptop and a program like Jackpot, hackers can hack an ATM. IOActive Labs’ Director of Security Research, Barnaby Jack, did this to show how easy it is to hack. When he was done, the word “jackpot” flashed on his screen, and the ATM started spitting out bills.
You see how easy it is for hackers to hack everything? Now what do you think about living in a life that seems convenient and safe but actually not that much safe?
