Sometimes you need to contact couples of people at the same time, you can add them to a single video chat conversation. You can have video chats with up to four people at a time. On group video chats you would be able to see all the people who currently are in the chat while the screen is divided to separated areas for each person’s video. As an example if you are video chatting with four people your screen would be divided to quarters and each of them contains one person’s video.
You also can join your group friends existing video chat. If your friends in Instagram chat groups are in a holding video chat the camera icon would turn blue and by tapping it you would be able to join the group video chat, notice that you can only join a group video chat that is holding among friends which you already have the same existing group with them.
You would be able to manage your video chat notification from the push notifications setting through the gear setting icon on your account page. As you receive a notification inviting you to join a video chat, swipe up to accept or swipe down to decline the call.
Don’t want to receive video call from particular people? Mute their account to prevent receiving video calls from them, however video calls cannot be received from those who you blocked or unfriended on Instagram earlier.
