Fortnite is an online game developed by Epic Games in 2017 that has different game modes which shares the same game play and game engine. The modes of this game are named Fortnite: Save the world and Fortnite: Battle Royale. Both game modes were released in 2017. Save the World game mode is available only for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while Battle Royale has been released for those platforms, Nintendo Switch, and iOS devices. Android users are looking forward to Fortnite mobile version release and that is why I have decided to provide you with the expected release date and supported phones.
Fortnite mobile release date for Android
Many people are just fascinated by Fortnite challenge and they can’t wait to have this marvellous game on their Android phones as well.
Developers at Epic Games have officially stated that Fortnite mobile is “targeting this summer for the release”. However, based on some leaks, it seems that Fortnite for Android will be playable in August. According to xda-developers, Fortnite Android will be released for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on 9th of August and for the rest of devices, the game will be released in 23rd of September.
An important point here is that you may receive emails or messages stating that Fortnite Mobile has been released and it is ready to play. You should be careful not to fall into the trap of such messages as they might be phishing pages or scammers.
Fortnite Android minimum requirements
The minimum requirements to run Fortnite on your mobile phone are as follows:
- OS: 64-bit Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher
- RAM: 3GB or higher
- GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
- Most devices with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Samsung Exynos 8895 or higher should be able to play Fortnite Mobile.
