Delete emails from your inbox can be extremely boring and tedious especially if you receive too many spams. This is a serious problem on iPhone since the ‘Trash All’ option has been removed in iOS10. This omission has created an extra burden for iOS as they have to delete emails individually.
If you are annoyed by the amount of wasted time on deleting emails, I want to tell you about a little bug which allows you to delete all your emails in one go! If you are tired of spending so much time going through your emails, Follow me in this tutorials.
This simple trick works on all of your email folders, even if they are flagged or unread.
Step 1 – Filter emails
First of all, open any email folder that you would like to delete its emails in bulk. Once you are inside the folder, you must be seeing a three-dot icon on the left bottom corner of the screen. Tap on that icon and tap on Filter by. Now you will see the include section in which you can choose either ‘Unread‘ or ‘Flagged‘.
Step 2 – Save important emails
Now before you go on with the mass deletion process, you may need to save your important emails! And please don’t forget to do that! To do so, scroll all the way than through the filtered view to find your important emails. If you found anything you would like to save, just tap on the folder icon on the top to move it to another folder. Now you have to repeat Step 1 one more time.
Step 3 – delete emails
Now, if you are sure that you have saved all your wanted emails, now it’s time to take action against the unwanted ones.
Tap on ‘Edit‘ button from the top-right corner. Now you are in the edit mode. Choose one email by tapping one the circle on the left side of it. Now your are ready to proceed to next step.
Step 4 – perform the magic
Now you can see the ‘Move‘ button on the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold it and don’t let it go. As you are holding the Move button, deselect the email that you have selected in the previous step. Now release your finger from the Move button. Doing this, you have selected all your emails in the filter view. Just tap on ‘Trash‘ icon to get rid of them all at once!
Now if you worry that you may have missed an important email and haven’t saved it just go through your trash box and check your emails one more time. Once you have made sure you can delete them all permanently.
